Linda P. Sillars, AMHNP-BC | Private Practice
Linda Sillars, AMHNP-BC worked for four years with the
Catholic Charities Support and Recovery ACT Team, in
Portland, Maine. In the his role, she co-lead a team of
case managers, therapists, and nurses who help people with
chronic mental illness gain control of their lives by
advising on housing, work, medical and psychiatric
monitoring, and social integration. Prior to becoming an
AMHNP, she was a psychotherapist focusing on adult
survivors of sexual abuse. She helped develop a protocol
for the apprehension and conviction of perpetrators. As an
NP, she has consulted with nursing homes, and worked with
veterans who suffer from PTSD, as well as being a guest
lecturer at Syracuse University School of Social Work. She
maintained a private practice at Dewitt Counseling
Associates in Syracuse, New York. With the start of the
pandemic, Linda continued her practice with various
facilities, and now maintains a private practice in
Southern Maine. With a wealth of knowledge and experience,
and a love of what she does, Ms. Sillars strives for
excellence in her every endeavor.

She enjoys painting, creating pieces of art that speaks to the public and has a positive and encouraging message,her work was hung in a child advocacy center. Ms. Sillars holds a Master’s Degree, which she earned from the State University of New York at Buffalo, as well as accreditation as a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She recently completed her post master's certificate in child and adolescence psychiatry, at the University of Southern Maine.
